
2.3 Condensation outlet
The humidity of extract air condenses to water during the heating period. A lot of condensate can build up in new buil-
dings with large numbers of people.
The condensate collected in the stainless steel condensation tub is discharged using a ball siphon (included in the
scope of delivery). In this respect, there must be an incline of at least 3° and the customer must ensure the connection
to the local drainage system.
In order to guarantee the drainage of the condensate, it must be ensured that the ventilation unit is installed in
a perpendicular position; see also “condensation outlet” label on unit.
Installation:
Connect the supplied ball siphon components. Then attach the siphon to the unit. An open outlet should
be installed due to odour development from a dried out siphon.
The drainage pipe route must not rise above the siphon!
The condensation outlet must be made frost-proof!

Operation of the KWL unit in connection with active cooling systems e.g. air conditioning, is not permitted!
2.4 Flange connection / connecting pieces
The KWL EC.. S Pro/WW types are supplied with a flange connection as standard.
Duct-to-pipe connecting pieces are available in the Helios range:
The ducting must be firmly and tightly connected to the connection valves.
Refer to the illustrations for the arrangement of ventilation ducting.
