4. Before Installation/Commissioning
The product must only be used outside its packaging.
Take the product carefully out of the packaging.
Make sure that the product has not been damaged during transport before putting it into operation. You
must not use the product if there is any damage to electrical parts. Repairs may only be carried out by a
qualified electrician.
Keep packaging materials away from children and pets. Asphyxiation hazard!
5. Installation/Commissioning
This product can only be installed by a qualified electrician.
The connection lines in the building must be disconnected before installation and secured against being
switched back on. For this, trip the corresponding fuse switch in the building installation.
Make sure that the surface is suitable for permanently and reliably taking the weight of the light.
Installation without recessed sleeve:
Hold the lamp housing at the desired installation position and saw out an opening according to the
installation dimensions. Used the supplied screws to mount the light. Always make sure that no lines are
damaged.
Assembly with recessed sleeve:
Place the assembly sleeve in the foundation by filling or casting it into appropriate materials. The sleeve
should remain clear in the full width and depth and line up flush with the upper edge.
It is fixed by screw-connecting using the enclosed screws.
Now connect the building installation's connection lines to the screw terminals. Connect the green-yellow
protective conductor first and then the other two cables. The brown (or black) cable is generally the
phase conductor - connect this to the terminal marked with "L". The blue conductor must be connected to
the terminal marked with "N".
Do not bend the cables; make sure that the cables and plugs are not subject to tension or torsional
forces. Protect all cables and insulation against possible damages.
Check proper connection once again.
Now connect the recessed spotlight according to the wiring diagram and test the installation. (The fuse
should be switched back on again for this)
Turn the circuit breakers in the building’s wiring system back on.
Press the light into the hole or assembly sleeve.
