Disposal
Dispose of the unusable lamp and broken bulbs in accordance with the legal regulations.
Safety precautions
Always ensure that the power supply to the lamp is disconnected before assembly, replacing a bulb, or
any other activity on the lamp.
Wearing metal or conductive jewellery such as chains, bracelets, rings etc. is prohibited when performing
any work on the lamp, including cleaning!
The bulb must be kept at least 50 cm away from the illuminated surface.
The lamp must not be covered with heat-insulating materials under any circumstances.
Do not hang any additional decorative items on the lamp.
Do not use the lamp in rooms or in unsuitable environments where inflammable gases, vapours, or dust
are or could be present.
Never direct the spotlights at each other or towards the lamp housing.
Never use bulbs with a higher output than the specified maximum output.
Never look into a light source or point the light directly at people or animals!
Keep the lamp away from inflammable objects and materials!
A protective glass plate, where fitted, must be replaced when broken.
When using on commercial premises, the applicable accident prevention regulations for electrical
systems and equipment must be observed for use on commercial premises.
In case of damage of any kind, especially that arising from contact with moisture, in which hazard-free
operation can longer be assured, the whole lamp must be disconnected from the power supply and
prevented from being switched on again.
Repairs must only be carried out by properly qualified persons and only using original spare parts!
Caution
:
When the lamp is on, do not touch the lamp glass or the housing as they can become very hot. When
turned on, the lamp is only permitted to be adjusted using the area below the sticker. We recommend
turning the lamp off for 10 minutes before adjusting it.
Assembly
Remove all packaging material.
Check the lamp for damage before use.
The safety precautions and technical data must be observed implicitly when doing so!
Ensure that the lamp is turned off by turning the switch anticlockwise.
Insert the lamp’s plug in to a mains socket.
The lamp is now ready for use.
Replacing bulbs
Please observe the safety precautions including those in the assembly instructions (I)
ATTENTION! bulbs are very hot when on. In order to avoid burns, turn the lamp off and allow the bulb to
cool for at least 10 minutes before replacing it!
Never touch halogen bulbs directly as the grease on skin can damage them! Use a clean cloth to do so.
The metal surface near the lamp element can become hot. Do not come into contact with the metal
surface near the lamp shade.
When the lamp is on, the head of the lamp must only be adjusted using the area below the sticker. We
recommend turning the lamp off for 10 minutes before adjusting it.
Remove the lamp’s plug from the mains socket.
Remove the lampshade by pulling it off.
Remove the faulty bulb by pulling it and rocking it slightly from side to side.
Insert the new bulb into the holder according to the instructions in the “Technical data”.
Reconnect the mains plug and socket.
