6 Commissioning and use
6.1 Connection to gas cylinder
The pressure reducer is constructed for gas cylinder connections in line with DIN 477.
- At every gas cylinder change, initial check the gasket ring (7) on intactness.
- Before connecting the pressure reducer to the gas cylinder, make sure the
openings of the gas cylinder and the pressure reducer are free from dirt.
Otherwise blow out with compressed-air.
- Turn the pressure adjusting screw (6) anti-clockwise as far as it will go. Do the
same with the valve of the gas cylinder.
- Put the inlet connection (9) of the pressure reducer on the opening of the gas
cylinder. Align the high pressure gauge (1) upright and close the coupling nut (8)
manually. If necessary again align the high pressure gauge.
- Tighten the coupling nut by using a 30 mm flat wrench.
Stay away from heat sources and easily inflammable materials during the
commissioning.
Do not direct the opening of the gas cylinder on yourself or other persons.
6.2 Connection to HF-Device
Ports of the HF-Device
- gas pressure measure line 2 (12)
- gas connection 2 (13)
- gas pressure measure line 1 (14)
- gas connection 1 (15)
- Plug in the mechanical style pressure switch (3) leaving cable in gas measure line
1 or 2 (14 or 12).
- Turn the lock clockwise until it is engaged. You can hear that at the click-sound.
- Plug in the outlet connection (5) leaving tube with its adapter at the end to gas
connection 1 or 2 (15 or 13). The lock engages by itself (Figure 4 and 5).
