NOVUS PLUS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
H. APPLIANCE PREPARATION
1. Attach the Hood
The hood is to be located above the glass panel. The hood
must be attached or a fire hazard may result. Locate the four
screws just inside the upper section of the appliance. Position
the hood and slide into position. Tighten the four screws. See
Figure 11.

2. Remove the Upper Grille Panel
Grasp the upper grille panel and remove the rubber pins
holding the grille in place. See Figure 12.
5. Prepare the Appliance
a.
Log Set
The log set should look similar to that in Figure 14.
b.
Place the Lava Rock and Vermiculite
See Figures 15 and 16 for lava rock and vermiculite
placement. It is not necessary to use the entire bag.
Save the remainder for future use.

3. Remove the Control Access Panel
Grasp the control access panel and lift up and towards you to
remove. See Figure 13.
4. Remove the Glass and Screen
See “Cleaning the Glass” in “Maintenance Instructions”.
