WARNING!
Never use gasoline, gasoline-type lantern fuel, kerosene, charcoal lighter fluid or similar liquids in
this appliance. Keep any flammable liquids a safe distance from the appliance.
3.Operating the Outside Air Kit
The outside air kit is supplied as an optional feature
with this appliance. The outside air kit helps decrease
the amount of room air taken by utilizing outside air for
combustion. It is strongly recommended that it be
installed.
To operate the outside air kit, before starting the
appliance: Grasp the small, black handle located on
the left side of the appliance. See Figure 18. Lift the
handle and move it up. When through burning the
appliance, grasp the handle, move it down to close
the outside air door.

2.Fuel Conversion Instructions
Natural or propane gas conversions necessary to meet the application need to be made by a qualified technician
using Hearth & Home Technologies specified and approved parts.
In the event your appliance must be converted to use propane, you must use a
DCKVP
Conversion Kit. To be
converted to use natural gas, you must use a
DCKVN
Conversion Kit.
CAUTION:
The air kit handle may get hot while you are
burning the appliance. Use care when operat-
ing the handle.
