Positioning the Logs
If the gas logs have been factory installed they should not
need to be positioned.
If the logs have been packaged separately, refer to the
installation instructions that accompany the logs.
Save the
log instructions with this manual.
If sooting occurs, the logs might need to be repositioned
slightly to avoid excessive flame impingement.
Placing the Ember Material
Three separate bags of ember material are shipped with this
gas fireplace:
The bag labeled Golden Ember (GE-93) is flame colorant
material.
The bags labeled Glowing Ember (050-721) are standard
glowing ember material.
To place the ember material:
Remove the wing nuts and glass clips around the glass
door.
Remove the glass door from the unit.
Cover the top of the burner with a single layer of ember
material. Then sprinkle GE-93 on top of the burner.
Save the remaining ember materials for use durning
fireplace servicing.
Replace the glass door and a front trim door on the
unit (see Replacement Parts Section of the manual.)
Replace the wing nuts, and glass clips.
Hand tighten the wing nuts.
