Assembling a 2600KGWA Scale (continued):
It is recommended that the assembly be done by two people.
1. Remove the scale assembly from the carton by first removing the inserts, then tuck the bag
down around the end of the box, and finally tilt the carton up on its end and roll the scale out.
2. Remove the bag from the scale, using caution to store the bag in the carton or to discard it, for
safety.
3. Thread the 4 feet into the underside of the base. Each foot should be completely hand tightened
and then backed out 1-½ full turns. This allows for proper load cell operation for accuracy of the
scale.
4. Open the scale to operational position (see scale opening instructions on page 7). WARNING :
Do not drop the scale on its feet. This could result in load cell damage.
5. Rotate the display support so that it is perpendicular to the handrail.
6. Position the display assembly close to the display support on the handrail. Connect the load cell
cable connector to the load cell port on the rear of the display assembly and insert and secure
the cable into the center channel in the display.
NOTE: Do not attach the Power Cord at this
point—wait until step 10, below.
7. Slide the display assembly onto the display support by inserting the two metal supports into the
two slots in the rear display assembly. Tuck the excess load cell cable into the handrail tube.
NOTE: The load cell cable should now be secured in the channel between the display assembly
and the display support (see
Figure 4
, below).
8. Insert the 4 Phillips pan head M4 screws into the metal display support, and tighten.
9. Attach the Adapter Holder to the inside of the handrail using two (2) #8 x ½ sheet metal screws;
tighten.
10. Connect the power adapter to the power port in the display, then insert and secure the cable into
the exposed portion of the second channel from the left in the back of the display (see
Figure
4
). Hold the cord in place through the retaining slot on the rear cover and align the large rear
cover tabs with the slots on the rear of the display assembly. Apply light pressure to snap the
cover into place and secure it with 2 Phillips pan head M4 screws.
Do not plug the scale into a
power source until the scale is fully assembled .
11. Rotate the display to align it with the center handrail then attach the front and small rear display
support covers, applying light pressure to snap these covers into place.
12. Secure the power cord to the inside of the center handrail, using the 4 plastic cable clips,
arranged to hold the cord out of the way. The adhesive backing on the clips will peel off then the
clips can be fastened to the scale by applying light pressure.
13. Make any necessary adjustments to level the scale by turning the feet in or out as needed.
14. The scale is now assembled. Plug the scale adapter into a power source and / or insert batteries.
