Installation
The SP0425 SelectaFlo
TM
Hi-Efficiency valve is designed for Hayward ProGrid
®
and DEP500 series filters.
Using the union connections built into the SelectaFlo
TM
valve, attach the valve to the filter as shown in
Figure 1, union nuts to be hand tightened ONLY. The PUMP, RETURN, and WASTE ports are 2” socket x
2 ½” spigot (solvent weld) connections. For 2 ½” piping, a standard 2 ½” x 2 ½” coupling is required.
The supplied elbow can be used on the WASTE port to direct waste piping away from the equipment
pad. Proper Solvent Cementing practices as outlined in ASTM D2855 and ASTM F493 should be
followed.
For simple and efficient plumbing from TriStar
®
or EcoStar
®
series pumps, use the included EcoFlo
EFC3220SF union fitting from the PUMP outlet to the PUMP port on valve as shown in Figure 2.
