IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using the lawn mower, wear protective clothing
3) Ensure that the power cable between the motor and switch assembly is not
damaged. Damaged cables must be replaced immediately by an authorized
service technician.
4) You should only use identical replacement parts or those which have been
approved by the manufacturer.
5) All repair work must be conducted at an authorized repair centre.
Safety
1) No person, especially children, or animals should be allowed to stand close to the lawn mower while
it is in use.
2) Risk of injury due to ejected stones or other objects.
Falling over
1) Operate the lawn mower at walking speed only.
2) Be particularly careful when mowing in reverse and pulling the machine towards you.
3) When mowing on steep slopes, there is a risk of the lawn mower tipping over resulting in personal
injury. Mow crossways to the slope, never upwards and downwards. Do not mow on inclines greater
than 20 degrees.
4) Be particularly careful when changing direction and always maintain a stable position.
5) If the ground is wet the mower could slip due to reduced traction and overturn. Mow only when the
grass is dry.
6) Work only by daylight or in good artificial lighting.
Injury Prevention
1) Always maintain a safe distance from the blade by maintaining a firm grip on the steering handle.
2) Never place your hands, feet, or other parts of the body near the rotating blade.
3) Stop the motor when the lawn mower has to be tilted and when travelling over surfaces other than
grass.
4) Never lift or carry the lawn mower when the motor is running.
5) Switch off the motor, when you release any jams, remove blockages in the discharge chute or before
checking, cleaning, transporting, adjusting or working on the lawn mower.
6) If you remove the grass catcher, you or other persons might get injured due to the ejection of the
mowed materials.
7) Never empty the grass catcher while the motor is running.
8) Check the surface on which the lawn mower is to be used and remove all objects that can be
ejected.
9) If the lawn mower starts vibrating abnormally stop the motor immediately and check for damage.
Have any damage repaired at a authorized repair centre.
10) Never stand in front of the grass discharge chute.
This includes:
1) Safety shoes
2) Pants
3) Protective goggles
4) Avoid wearing loose fitting garments that may be caught in moving
parts
