Never operate the tool without the guard
properly in place. Use of the unit without
having installed the guard will cause the motor
to overheat, and void the warranty.
2. fITTING THE AUXILIARY HANDLE (See
fig C)
NOTE: This may already be pre-fitted to the
trimmer. However the following instructions
give full assembly details.
1) Locate the auxiliary handle to the bracket.
Note its orientation.
2) Insert the bolt through the bracket and the
handle and screw into the captivated nut.
Tighten using the large adjustment wheel.
3. ADJUSTING AUXILIARY HANDLE
You can now adjust and locate the handle in
the most suitable position. release the wheel,
then adjust handle angle and tighten the wheel
again.

4. ADJUST THE HEIGHT (See fig D)
Adjust the main handle to the correct working
length for your physical size. To do this, simply
push the height adjustment locking mechanism
and pull / push the lower shaft. The trimmer
handle has a number of preset positions for
this as you push / pull the lower shaft release
the collar and then push/pull the lower shaft
until it locks on desired position.

The cutting face can be changed from
horizontal to vertical. (i.e. for cutting edges).
Pull handle rotation locking mechanism
and turn the top of the shaft 180

counter-
clockwise. (The head will only move in one
direction) The motor head will swivel through

-release the collar and the shaft will lock-
confirm it is secure before use!

6. ADJUST THE CUTTING ANGLE (See fig
f)
Your trimmer has a four position tilting head.
This can be adjusted to achieve a comfortable
and efficient working angle. This allows
controlled trimming around flowerbeds, under
shrubs, around trees and fence posts etc.
To change the angles simply depress the
flattening head adjustment button and move
the motor head to desired position, then
release the button.
