Issue: 

Pop rivets used in the PA Block chassis assembly can touch, and in certain 

cases, short traces on the power supply backplane board to ground.  
 
 

Solution: 

Remove the pop rivets and replace them with a Philips screw and Kep nut.

ATTENTION: 

The Following Procedure Must Be Carried Out By Skilled Personnel Using Appropriate ESD and 

soldering Procedures. 

“THE COMPETENCE OF PERSONNEL FOR DESIGNATION AS SKILLED” as defined in the 

IEC EN60 215 Safety Standard.

 

PROCEDURE: 
 

The purpose of this bulletin is to determine if you need to make this 
modification. Problems usually arise after the transmitter has been shipped 
from the factory or the transmitter has been moved to a different location. 
Movement during shipping can cause the rivet to make contact with the power 
supply backplane board and therefore short out certain traces. If the transmitter 
has been installed and does not exhibit any of the below symptoms then there 
is no need to install this bulletin. Use figures 1 & 2 for LED identification.
