6.4 In Case of Problems
If you continue to have a problem, contact Customer Service (see Appendix
B). A service technician will assist you in determining whether a fault exists
with the unit.
If the service technician determines that you need to return the unit, she or he
will issue you a Return Material Authorization (RMA) Number. You must
include this RMA number on the shipping container when returning the unit,
and with all correspondence regarding the unit.
To return the unit, send it to one of the addresses listed in Appendix B. Please
add the note:

Laser Bias Current
alarm Check loss of optical power alarms.
Check low input alarm threshold. See Figure 2-6. HOA
7100 Alarms menu on page 2-6.
Recall factory settings by pressing the RCL function key
on the front panel (see Section 2.1.2).
If that does not correct the problem, contact Customer
Service (see Section 6.4).
Laser Switch Off
alarm Verify that the Laser Switch located on the rear panel (see
Section 3.4) is in the "on" position
Fiber Drawer Open
alarm Verify that the fiber drawer has been closed completely
Power LED on the
front panel does not
illuminate Verify that that supply power has been connected
properly.
If that does not correct the problem, contact Customer
Service (see Section 6.4).
