Item 63072

Operation Instructions

Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section at the beginning of this document
including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.

TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY AND DEATH FROM FIRE:
Have multiple ABC class fire extinguishers nearby.
Be familiar with fire extinguishing techniques before use of this item.

1.  Locate the Heater and propane tank (not included)

on a clean, dry, level surface capable of supporting
the weight of the Heater and the propane tank.  Keep
the Heater and propane tank away from flammable
objects.  Make sure the heater is level and stable.

2.  Turn the Regulator Knob off.  Open the gas

valve on the propane tank and check and smell
for gas leaks.  Perform a bubble test by:
a.  Apply warm soapy water over every

joint, regulator, fitting, and anywhere
else there may be a possible leak.

b.  Observe carefully to see if bubbles expand,

indicating a leak.  A large leak can blow the
soapy solution away instead of forming bubbles.

c.  If leaks are found, do not use the Heater

until the leaks have been stopped.

d.  After testing, close the gas valve

on the propane tank.

3.  With the Regulator Knob in the OFF position,

slowly open the gas valve on the propane tank,
then turn the Regulator Knob counterclockwise
to the MED (medium) position.

4.  With the Burners facing away from you, insert a

lighted match from behind into the ignition hole
of the Burner which is to be lit.  Next, push in
and hold the plunger on the Safety Shutoff Valve.
Once the Burner is lit, continue to hold the valve
plunger in for 30 seconds, then release slowly.

WARNING:  Do not push in plunger on Safety
Shutoff Valve before inserting lit match.  Never
stand in front of Heater while lighting Burners.

5.  If Burner does not light within 30 seconds,

turn the Regulator Knob clockwise to the OFF
position and allow at least five minutes for gas
to dissipate, then repeat the lighting process.

6.  Once the Burner is lit, safely dispose of the match

and adjust the Regulator Knob to the desired setting.

7.  For maximum heat repeat the lighting

procedure for the second Burner.

8.  When finished using the Heater, turn the Regulator

Knob clockwise to the OFF position.  Then,
close the gas valve on the propane tank.

9.  To store, close the valve on the propane tank and

disconnect the Heater. Store propane tank in an area
where there is free air circulation, at least 10 ft from
building openings (such as windows and doors), and
at least 20 ft from air intakes of air conditioning and
ventilating systems.  Tightly install threaded valve
plug (not included) into disconnected propane tank.

10.  Store the Heater in a safe, dry place,

covered to protect it from dust and dirt.

WARNING!  Do not move the Heater
while it is on or while it is hot.  Do not
touch the Burner Assemblies or other
metal components—serious burns will
occur.  Turn unit off and wait 30 minutes
until it cools down before moving.
