Adding dishwasher salt
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
You may damage the dishwasher, its
surfaces, its seals and fi lters by using
dishwasher salt in an improper manner.
■
Only use regenerating salt which is
suitable for dishwashers.
■
Always wipe away split dishwasher
salt immediately with a damp cloth.
■
Immediately after adding the dish-
washer salt, launch a dishwashing
programme.
The dishwasher salt softens the water result-
ing in fewer calcification deposits on dishes.
• Add dishwasher salt before first use and
when the indicator (22) lights up.
You do not need to use dishwasher salt
– if you are only using multitabs which al-
ready contain dishwasher salt,
– if the water hardness in your area is in the
0–5° dH range.
1. Remove the lower dish rack (25).
(29)
2. Turn the cover of the dishwasher salt dis-

a problem.
6. Stir the dishwasher salt using the end of a
spoon or similar.
7. Turn the cover of the dishwasher salt dis-
penser in a clockwise direction up to the
stop point.
8. Replace the lower dish rack.
9. Launch a dishwashing programme
straight away or carry out a test run im-
mediately upon first use using (see „Wa-
ter hardness“ on page EN-26).
