Intended use
The appliance is intended for
– keeping food warm
– defrosting berries and vegetables
– proofing yeasted dough
– warming dishes
The appliance is designed for use in private
households and is not designed for commer-
cial use or multiple use (e.g.: use by several
families in an apartment building).
The appliance is intended for use in house-
hold-type settings. Any use outdoors and
in non-stationary locations (ships, mobile
homes, etc.) is excluded.
The appliance is intended to be fitted in a
kitchen worktop or similar fixture. Ensure that
the appliance is properly fixed in place. Never
use adhesives or glue to fix the appliance in
place.
The appliance must not be used as a form of
support, seat or footboard.
Persons who are unable to operate the appli-
ance safely due to their physical, sensory or
mental abilities or lack of knowledge must be
supervised during use.
Do not make any technical changes to the ap-
pliance.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be re-
placed by the manufacturer, its service agent
or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid
a hazard.
Use the appliance exclusively as described
in this user manual. Any other use will be
deemed to be improper and may lead to dam-
age to property or even injury to persons. The
manufacturer accepts no liability for damage
caused by improper use.
Safety notices
In this chapter, you will find general safety no-
tices which you must always observe for your
own protection and that of third parties. Also
observe the warning notices in the individual
chapters on operation, set-up and installation,
etc.
Risks in handling household
electrical appliances

Risk of electric shock!
Improper handling may result in an
electric shock or short circuit.

Connect the appliance only if the
socket voltage matches the require-
ments indicated on the type plate.
■
The appliance corresponds to pro-
tection class 1 and may be connect-
ed only to a plug with a properly in-
stalled protective conductor.
Do not connect to a multiple socket
outlet, power strip, timer or to a sepa-
rate remote-controlled system for dis-
tance monitoring and control.

Use the appliance only indoors. Do
not use in wet rooms or in the rain.
■
Do not operate or continue to oper-
ate the appliance, if it
–
shows visible signs of damage – for
example, the connection cable is
defective;
–
starts smoking or there is a burning
smell;
–
makes unusual sounds.
In such cases, switch off the circuit
breakers/unscrew fuses and contact
our service center (see page EN-18).

Operate the appliance only once it is
installed.
