Unattended cooking on a hob with fat
or oil can be dangerous and may result
in fi re.

NEVER try to extinguish a fi re with
water; but switch off the appliance
and then cover the fl ame e. g. with a
lid or a fi re blanket.
■
If you are preparing food with alco-
hol, do not leave the cooker unattend-
ed! Food may ignite of its own accord.
■
Danger of fi re: do not store items on
the cooking surfaces.
■
The cooking process has to be be su-
pervised. A short term cooking pro-
cess has to be supervised continuous-
ly.
■
Use onls hob guards designed by the
manufacturer of the cooking appli-
ance or indicated by the manufactur-
er in the instructions for use or hob
guards incorporated in the appliance..
The use of inappropriate guards can
cause accidents.
■
Do not cover the appliance with blan-
kets, cloths or similar, as these objects
may become hot and catch fi re.
■
If the cooling fan is defective, the ap-
pliance can quickly overheat, causing
even more damage to the appliance
and setting fi re to any other nearby
fl ammable objects. In such a case,
switch off the hob immediately!
Risk of burns!
The cooking zones/mixed zones get
very hot during operation and will re-
main hot after they are switched off;
this is shown by the residual heat indi-
cator.

Caution in the event of a power cut:
residual heat may not be indicated.

The appliance and its accessible parts
become hot during use. Care should
be taken to avoid touching heating
elements. Always protect hands with
oven gloves or pot holders when work-
ing on the hot appliance. Only use dry
oven gloves or potholders. Wet tex-
tiles are better heat conductors and
can cause steam burns.

Children less than 8 years od age
shall be kept away unless continuous-
ly supervised.
■
Always switch off the
cooking zones/mixed zones yourself
if you wish to stop a cooking pro-
cess. Cancelling the cooking time lim-
it does not end the cooking process
itself.
■
Do not leave the hob unattended
during use.
■
Metal objects such as knives, forks,
spoons and lids should not be placed
on the hob surface since they can get
hot.
■
After use, switch off the hob element
by its control and do not rely on the
pan detector.
■
Do not leave temperature-sensitive,
combustible or fi re-hazardous ob-
jects on the hob! If the appliance
is switched on unintentionally they
may deform or ignite.
■
Never sit on the hob.
■
Allow the hob to cool completely be-
fore cleaning.
Exception: Remove sugary or starchy
contaminants, plastic or aluminium
foil from the hot glass ceramic im-
mediately using a standard sharp
