5. To cancel the timer, touch the slider sen-
sor (10) at the “ ” position.
6. Touch the timer sensor (11) again and
then the slider sensor (10) at the “ ” po-
sition.

” will flash in the timer display.
7. Press the timer sensor (11).

” will appear in the timer display.
The timer is now cancelled.
Adjusting the safety locking
mechanism
Your appliance is equipped with a safety lock-
ing mechanism which protects the appliance
from inadvertent or unauthorised use.
Activating the safety lock
1. Switch on the appliance using the On/Off
sensor (7).
2. Set the cooking zones and, if applicable,
the timer as desired.
3. Press the safety locking mechanism sen-
sor (8).

All sensors except the On/Off sensor are
now locked. In the display next to the timer
sensor (11), “
LO
” will flash.
The appliance can also be switched off
while the safety locking mechanism is
activated. You must, however, deacti-
vate the safety locking mechanism before
the next use.
Deactivating the safety locking
mechanism
1. Ensure that the appliance is switched on.
In the display next to the timer sensor (11),
“
LO
” will flash.
2. Press the safety locking mechanism sen-
sor (8) for 3 seconds.
The “
LO
” sensor will go out and the “
--”
in-
dicator will appear beside the timer sensor.
Now you will be able to use all of the appli-
ance’s sensors again.
Using the boost function
The boost function can be used on every
cooking zone. The boost function will auto-
matically switch off after 5 minutes and the
appliance will switch back to the original heat
setting. If the original heat setting was “
0
”, the
appliance will switch to the “
9
” heat setting
after 5 minutes.
1. Touch the sensor of the cooking zone for
which you wish to activate the boost func-
tion.
2. Touch the boost sensor (9).
“
b
” will illuminate on the heat setting display
next to the selected cooking zone.
3. To deactivate the booster function, touch
the sensor for the cooking zone for which
you wish to deactivate the booster func-
tion.
4. Touch the boost sensor (9).
“
b
” will go out on the heat setting display
next to the selected cooking zone and the
original heat setting will illuminate.
