If you do not press a sensor or do not
place suitable cookware on the cooking
zone within one minute of switching the hob
on, the appliance will switch off automatically.
You cannot activate the slider sensor with
normally illuminated indicators before you
have selected a cooking zone.
If there is no pot, or no suitable pot, placed
on the selected cooking zone, the “ ” indi-
cator will appear beside the corresponding
sensor after approximately two seconds.
As soon as you place a suitable pot on the
cooking zone, the selected heat setting will
again be displayed.
In rare cases, this indicator may also appear
when there is a suitable pot. After a few sec-
onds, however, the selected heat setting will
be displayed again.
Increasing or reducing the
heat setting of a cooking zone
Even if the cooking process has already be-
gun, you can increase or decrease the heat
setting of a cooking zone.
1. Touch the sensor for the required cooking
zone.
The indicator beside the cooking zone will
flash.
2. To increase the heat setting for the se-
lected cooking zone, touch the slider sen-
sor (10) or swipe your finger right over the
slider sensor.
To decrease the heat setting for the se-
lected cooking zone, touch the slider sen-
sor (10) or swipe your finger left over the
slider sensor.
After a few seconds, the indicator for the
selected cooking zone will be normally illu-
minated again and the new heat setting will
have been selected.
When the “ ” indicator and not the
heat setting is flashing on the display,
this may have several causes, for example:
– The cookware is not placed on the correct
cooking zone.
– The cookware being used is not suitable
for induction hobs.
– The cookware is too small or is not centred
on the cooking zone.
As long as there is no suitable cookware on
the cooking zone that is switched on, no heat-
ing will occur.
