When draining in an emergency, sub-
stantial amounts of water can leak out.
The lint trap stops threads and other foreign
bodies ending up in the pump with the suds.
• Clean the lint trap every 30 wash cycles.
1. Switch off the appliance and take the
mains plug out of the socket.
2. Close the valve.

3. Open the shutter (10) of the lint trap with
a flat object, such as the partition.

4. Place a suitable collecting container un-
derneath the lint trap (23).
5. Open the lint trap (23) anticlockwise only
to the point where water begins to flow
out. You will have to repeatedly empty the
collection container every now and then.
6. Completely unscrew the lint trap (23)
once the water stops flowing.
7. Remove all foreign bodies and clean the
lint trap (23) under running water.

8. Replace the lint trap (23) and screw it all
the way in.

9. Put the cover (10) back into position.
Make sure the rectangular opening in the
shutter is at the top.
Emptying residual water

Improper handling of the appliance
may result in injury.

The appliance is very heavy. Nev-
er carry it alone, but always have at
least two persons to do so.
If the appliance is put in area prone to frost,
you must drain the residual water so that it
does not freeze in the appliance and cause
any damage.
1. Follow steps 1 to 6 as described in Chap-
ter “Cleaning the lint trap” on page EN-25.
2. With the assistance of another person, tilt
the appliance forward slightly to allow any
residual water to drain from the appliance.
3. Replace the lint trap once again and
screw it clockwise until it stops turning.
4. Put the cover (10) back into position.
Make sure the rectangular opening in the
shutter is at the top.
5. Unscrew the water inlet hose from the
valve and remove the drainage hose from
the tub or siphon to drain any residual
water.
