Clean the ice cube container
WARNING
Risk of injury!
The improper handling of the ice maker
can lead to injury.
■
Do not insert fi ngers into the grinding
mechanism in the ice cube container!
■
Please do not insert any objects such
as, e.g. knives, forks or similar into the
grinding mechanism.
■
Switch off the ice maker before re-
moving and cleaning it (ICE OFF).
■
Be very careful when cleaning the
grinding mechanism.
It can occur that ice cubes in the ice cube
container (4) become clumped together. In
such a case, it is necessary to clean the ice
cube container or to remove the blockage.
Clean the ice cube container regularly
in order to prevent blockages.
Remove the ice cube container
1. Press the button (29) ICE OFF to switch
off the ice maker.
2. Disconnect the mains plug from the sock-
et or switch off the fuse.
Danger! ice cutter inside,

3. Lift the ice cube maker (4) slightly and pull
it out completely in a horizontal move.
4. Remove the cover (37).
Cleaning

1. Dispose of any existing ice cubes down
the drain. As required, move the screw
conveyor (38) in a clockwise or anti-clock-
wise direction to release any jammed ice
cubes.
2. Clean the ice cube container and the
cover with a soft cloth, water and a mild
cleaner.
3. Dry all parts thoroughly.
Re-start the appliance
1. Place the cover (37) on the ice cube con-
tainer (4).

2. Slide the ice cube container into the freez-
er compartment until it clicks into place.
Should you encounter any difficulties dur-
ing re-insertion,
– remove the ice cube container again.
– turn the screw conveyor (39) by hand
through 90°, so that it locks properly into
place in the drive pin (38).
– Reinsert the ice cube maker.
Repeat the process until the ice cube con-
tainer clicks into place.
3. Connect the mains plug to the socket or
switch on the fuse again.
4. Press the button (29) ICE OFF to switch
on the ice maker.
