Using the temperature controller(5), you can
control the freezing capacity of the appliance.
However, please note that you cannot
switch the appliance on or off via the tem-
perature controller.
The temperature controller (5) is located bot-
tom left on the back of the appliance. It is var-
iably adjustable.

Operation
Switching on
Please note that you cannot “switch on”
the appliance via the temperature control-
ler. When you plug the mains plug into the
socket, it switches on immediately.
1. Insert the mains plug into a properly in-
stalled socket (220–240 V~ /50 Hz).
The appliance is switched on, the mo-
tor starts to work, the refrigerant flows
through the pipes and you hear a slight
noise.
2. Set the temperature controller (5) to
“NORMAL”.
3. If the appliance makes worrying noises,
check its stability and remove any objects
on top of the appliance.
Switching off
Please note that you cannot “switch off”
the appliance via the temperature control-
ler. Only when you pull the mains plug out
of the socket does it switch off.
1. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket.
2. Empty the appliance, defrost it and clean
it (see chapter „Care and maintenance“on
page GB-14).
3. Leave the door open slightly to avoid
mould formation.
