Holiday mode
CAUTION
Health hazard!
Insuffi cient cooling can
cause stored food to spoil.
This could lead to a risk of food poison-
ing when consumed.
■
Note that the shelf life of stored food
may be shortened due to a rise in the
temperature inside the appliance.
■
Remove stored food from the appli-
ance – even when only switching off
the appliance temporarily – and store
it in a suffi ciently cool place or in an-
other refrigerating appliance.
■
Consume thawed and defrosted foods
immediately and do not refreeze.
If you won’t use the appliance for a prolonged
period (e.g. if you go on holiday), you can ac-
tivate “Holiday mode”. This will save energy.
The fridge will switch off when “Holiday mode”
is active. The temperature in the freezer is
kept at –18 °C.
Activating “Holiday mode”
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section “Locking/unlocking the control pan-
el” on page EN-13.
2. Press the button (23) for approx. 3 sec-
onds.
The
indicator (19) will appear on the
display. The freezer temperature display
switches to –18 °C.
Deactivating “Holiday mode”
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section “Locking/unlocking the control pan-
el” on page EN-13.
2. Press the button (23) for approx. 3 sec-
onds.
The indicator (19) will disappear from the
display. The freezer temperature display
switches to –18 °C.
Door alarm
The use of energy and the temperature inside
the appliance can increase if the doors are
opened often or for long periods of time.
A beep will sound if the fridge door (2) is left
open for longer than 2 minutes.
• Close the fridge door (2).
The shelves
The top glass shelf (16) and the z-shaped
glass shelf with foldable bottle rack (15) are
removable. The top glass shelf (16) can be
rearranged as required.
The door shelves (3) can be removed and
rearranged as necessary.

The bottle rack (26) on the z-shaped glass
shelf with foldable bottle rack (15) can be fold-
ed out as required.
The “Convenient zone” drawer (10) in the
freezer can be removed to create more space
in the lower large drawer (9) in the freezer.
You will achieve the most efficient use of en-
ergy for your appliance if you combine the
drawers, glass shelves and door shelves as
shown in the figure on page EN-11.
1. To remove the z-shaped glass shelf with
foldable bottle rack (15) or the top glass
shelf (16), lift them slightly at the front and
then pull them out of the guide rail.
2. Place the glass shelves back into the de-
sired positions.
