Before getting started
• Read chapter “Safety” from page EN-4, in
particular all the safety notices.
• Set up and connect the appliance as de-
scribed in the “Before starting to use the
appliance” chapter from page EN-21.
Switching the appliance on
and off
Switching on
The appliance is switched on as soon as the
mains plug is plugged in. The compressor
starts to work, the refrigerant flows through
the pipes and a quiet humming sound can
be heard.

• Use the temperature controller (1) to set
the desired cooling temperature.
If the appliance makes worrying
noises, check the solid base and
remove any objects that may be on
top of the appliance.
Switching off
• To switch the appliance off, pull the mains
plug out of the socket.

Setting the temperature
WARNING
Health hazard!
The appliance may not operate proper-
ly if exposed to low ambient tempera-
tures for extended periods of time. This
can then lead to an increase in temper-
ature in the fridge and freezer.

Always ensure the prescribed ambi-
ent temperature is maintained (see
“Intended use” on page EN-4).
If you set a lower temperature, you
will require greater refrigeration per-
formance. This increases the energy
consumption.

Using the temperature controller (1), you can
set the temperature in the fridge and freezer.
The temperature controller (1) has a setting
button (12) and four LED indicators (13) that
show the last temperature setting selected.
When connecting and switching the
appliance on for the
fi
rst time, the
default temperature setting is “4 °C”.
• Use the setting button (12) to set the de-
sired temperature: Press the setting but-
ton (12) repeatedly until the LED below
the desired temperature lights up.
• If, for example in summer, the ambient
temperature increases, select a lower set-
ting accordingly.
