If, for example in summer, the temperature
increases, select a lower temperature setting
accordingly.
• Press the button (10) as often as
required until the desired temperature
setting illuminates. The temperature is re-
duced in a series of predefined steps.
corresponds to the ‘Quick refriger-
ation’ function.
If you set a lower temperature, you will
need a higher cooling performance.
This increases the energy consump-
tion.
Quick refrigeration
Select the ‘Quick refrigeration’ function to
quickly cool food you have put inside the ap-
pliance during cooling mode.
• Press the button (10) as often as re-
quired until the
display illuminates.
The ‘Quick refrigeration’ function is
switched on.
The function switches off automatically af-
ter 150 minutes, and the temperature re-
turns to the last setting used.
Filling the inside of the
appliance
• Fill the inside of the appliance in such a
way that the temperature conditions in-
side are used to their full potential:
– Store spreadable butter, cheese, pre-
served products, jars, eggs, cooked
items and baked items in the flap
trays (7). This is where the temperature
is warmest.
– Place fresh fruit and vegetables in the
fruit/vegetable drawer (6).
– Place beverage cartons, bottles, fresh
meat, game, poultry, bacon, sausage
and raw fish in the bottom part of the
appliance, in the drawers (4) and (5).
This is where the temperature is lowest.
• Store strong alcohol only standing upright
and tightly closed.
• Allow hot food to cool before placing it in-
side the appliance.
• The temperatures in the appliance and
thus the energy consumption can in-
crease
– if the door is opened frequently or for a
long time.
– if the temperature falls below or exceeds
the prescribed interior temperature.
• Energy consumption is also dependent
on the selected location (see “Start-up”
on page EN-23).
• If you intend to refill the inside of the
appliance with large amounts of food, ac-
tivate ‘Quick refrigeration’ about 2 hours
before you fill it.
Maintaining quality
• To maintain the flavour and freshness of
food inside the appliance, package all
food to be cooled before placing it inside
the appliance. Use special plastic con-
tainers for food or customary films.
• Place the food
– in the fridge in a way that allows the
air to circulate freely. Do not cover the
shelves with paper or anything similar.
– somewhere that is not directly against
the rear wall. Otherwise it may freeze
onto the rear wall.
• A temperature setting that is too high or
too low can reduce the shelf life of your
food. This leads to greater food waste.
Optional: Using the appliance as a refrigerator
