Please use this table to check whether you can remedy the fault yourself.

The compressor is
off.
The socket has no power.
Check the socket by connecting anoth-
er appliance.
The mains plug has not been in-
serted properly.
Ensure the mains plug is securely
plugged in.
The desired temperature has
been reached.
Further cooling not required. When the
inside temperature rises, the compres-
sor automatically switches on.

The freezer cools ex-
cessively.
The cooling level is set too high.
Set the temperature controller

towards ‘MIN’.

The freezer does not
cool sufficiently.
The cooling level is set too low.
Set the temperature controller

Door is not tightly closed or door
seal is not completely tight.

The freezer is near a heat
source.
Place an insulating plate between the
freezer and heat source, or change the
location.
The food stored inside is warm
and was not chilled beforehand.
Only place chilled food back in the
freezer.
The ambient temperature is too
low or too high.
Adjust the ambient temperature to the
climate class. (See chapter „Product
fiche concerning Regulation (EU) Nr.
1060/2010” on the backpage.)

The freezer makes
noise.
Cooling unit is running (humming).
Operating noises are functional and are
not a sign of malfunction.
Refrigerant is flowing through the
pipes (flow noise).
Motor is switching on or off (click-
ing).
Another, non-operational noise.
Check the firm position.
Remove objects from the freezer.
Remove any foreign bodies from the
rear and leave sufficient clearance to
the wall.
