Before getting started
• Read the chapter „Safety“ from page EN-4
and all safety instructions.
• Set up and connect the appliance as
described in chapter „Start-up“ from
page EN-27.
Switching the appliance on
and off
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
If the cooling appliance has been trans-
ported horizontally, lubricant from the
compressor may get into the cooling
circuit.
■
Allow the appliance to stand upright
for approx. 2 hours after transport
and before connecting.
Switching on for the first time
The appliance is switched on as soon as the
mains plug is plugged in.
The compressor starts to work, the refrigerant
flows through the pipes and a quiet humming
sound can be heard.
All indicators on the control panel will light up
for 3 seconds.
If the appliance is making unusual noi-
ses, check that it is stable and remove
any objects that may be on top of it.
Switching on
1. Press and hold the On/Off button (18) un-
til the “On/Off” indicator (17) lights up
(approx. 3 seconds).
The
OF
indicator will also appear on the
display (22).
2. Press and hold the “On/Off” button (18)
again for roughly 3 seconds.
The indicator for the previously chosen
compartment (fridge/freezer) will appear
on the control panel (1), and the previously
set temperature will also be shown on the
display (22).
Switching off
• Press and hold the On/Off button (18) until
the “On/Off” indicator (17) lights up on
the control panel (1) and the
OF
indicator
is shown on the display (22).
After the appliance is switched off, both in-
dicators will stay on for approximately ano-
ther minute.
To switch the appliance off completely,
pull the mains plug out of the socket.
If the appliance is switched off, leave
the doors open slightly to avoid mould forma-
tion.
Setting the temperature
CAUTION
Health hazard!
The appliance may not operate proper-
ly if exposed to low ambient tempera-
tures for extended periods of time. The
temperature may increase in the fridge
and freezer which may cause the foods
stored within to spoil more quickly.
■
Always ensure the prescribed ambi-
ent temperature is maintained (see
„Intended use“ on page EN-4).
If you set a lower temperature, you will
require greater refrigeration performan-
ce. This increases energy consumption.
