Changing the door hinges
You can change the position of the refriger-
ator door hinges if necessary. This work re-
quires some manual dexterity. Please read
the following steps completely before chang-
ing the hinges.
You will need the following tools:
– PH2 cross-tip screwdriver
– 8 mm spanner
1. Make sure that the refrigerator is not con-
nected to the mains.
2. Close the door.
3. Unscrew the metal strip from the refriger-
ator. Use the cross-tip screwdriver.
4. Unfasten the screws for the upper hinge
and remove the hinge.
5. Unscrew the hinge pin from the hinge.
Turn the hinge 180°. Re-insert the hinge
pin into the hinge.
6. Lift up the door, removing it from the lower
hinge pin as you do so, and set it to one
side.
7. Insert the lower hinge pin on the opposite
side and put the door back on.
8. Close the door.
9. Remove the screw with a cross-tip screw-
driver and re-insert it on the opposite side.
10. Put the upper hinge on the correct side of
the door and screw it tight.
11. Screw the metal strip back onto the re-
frigerator.
12. Check that the door seal is correctly in
place (see “Checking and cleaning the
door seals“ on page EN-16).
