Do not kink or pinch the
mains cable or lay it over
sharp edges. This could cau-
se damage to the insulation
and/or break the cable.

Never pull the mains plug
out of the socket by the
mains cord; always hold the
mains plug itself.

Never use the mains cord as
a carrying handle.
■
Never touch the mains plug
with wet hands.
■
Lay the mains cord so that
it does not pose a tripping
hazard.
■
Never immerse the applian-
ce in water.
■
Only use the appliance in-
doors. Do not use in wet
rooms or in the rain.
■
Never store the appliance
in such a way that it can fall
into a bathtub or sink.
■
Never touch an electrical
appliance if it has fallen
into water. In such a case,
immediately unplug the
mains plug from the socket.
■
Do not submerge the appli-
ance itself, the mains cord
or the mains plug in water
or any other fl uid.
■
Dry all parts thoroughly af-
ter cleaning.
Improper handling of the ap-
pliance may lead to serious
injuries.

When using the appliance,
only hold the power unit.

Before changing accessories
or additional parts which
are moving during operati-
on, the appliance must be
switched off and disconnec-
ted from the mains.

Never operate the applian-
ce without an attachment
or with a damaged attach-

Always make sure that the
attachment has properly cli-
cked into place and that it is
securely attached to the po-
wer unit before connecting
the appliance to the mains
and starting it up.
