Holiday mode
CAUTION
Health hazard!
Insuffi cient cooling can
cause stored food to spoil.
This could lead to a risk of food poiso-
ning when consumed.
■
Note that the shelf life of stored food
may be shortened due to a rise in the
temperature inside the appliance.
■
Remove stored food from the appli-
ance – even when only switching off
the appliance temporarily – and store
it in a suffi ciently cool place or in ano-
ther cooling appliance.
■
Consume thawed and defrosted
foods immediately, do not refreeze.
If you won’t use the appliance for a prolonged
period (e.g. if you go on holiday), you can ac-
tivate “Holiday mode”. This will save energy.
When the holiday mode is active, the fridge
temperature will be adjusted to +15 °C and the
freezer temperature to –18 °C.
Activating “Holiday mode”
1. Remove all food from the fridge and store
it in a sufficiently cool room or another
cooling appliance.
2. Press the MODE button (24) repeatedly
until the “Holiday mode active” indica-
tor (26) lights up.
Deactivating “Holiday mode”
• Press the MODE button (24) repeatedly
until the “Quick refrigerating active”
indicator (27), “Quick freezing active”
indicator (25), and “Holiday mode active”
indicator (26) all stop illuminating.
Door alarm
The use of energy and the temperature inside
the appliance can increase if the doors are
opened often or for long periods of time.
If the fridge door is kept open for longer than
2 minutes, the
d r
indicator will appear on the
display (22).
• Close the open door(s).
The shelves
The top glass shelf (16) and the glass shelf
with bottle rack (15) are removable. The top
glass shelf (16) can be rearranged as requi-
red.
The freezer drawer covers (8) and (9) can be
removed to create more space.
You will achieve the most efficient use of
energy for your appliance if you combine the
drawers, glass shelves and door shelves as
shown in the figure on page EN-12.
1. To remove the glass shelf with bottle
rack (15) or the top glass shelf (16), lift
them slightly at the front and then pull
them out of the guide rail.
2. Place the glass shelves back into the desi-
red positions.
