Preparation:
• Ideally, use food which has been frozen at
–18 °C in portions as thin as possible.
• Remove all packaging and weigh the food.
Its weight is needed to ensure the correct
settings.
• Place the food in an appropriately large
container which can collect the defrost wa-
ter without overflowing.
• Do not cover the food.
Defrosting by weight

1. Press the “Defrost by weight/time” but-
ton (12)

” will appear.
2. Use the control dial (15) to set the weight
for the food to be defrosted.
3. Press the “Start/+30sec./Confirm” but-
ton (14) to confirm the setting.
The defrosting process will start; the time
indicator on the display (11) will commence
counting down.
When the time indicator reaches
0:00
, you
will hear five beeps and the appliance will
switch off.
Timed defrosting
1. Press the “Defrost by weight/time” but-
ton (12)
twice
.

dEF2
” will flash on the display.
2. Use the control dial (15) to set the desired
defrosting time.
3. Press the “Start/+30sec./Confirm” but-
ton (14) to confirm the setting.
The defrosting process will start; the time
indicator on the display (11) will commence
counting down.
When the time indicator reaches
0:00
, you
will hear five beeps and the appliance will
switch off.
For defrosting by time, the microwave
power level
P30
is always used. This
setting cannot be changed.
