Cooking zones and sensors
Safety lock
Your appliance is equipped with a safety lock,
which must be deactivated prior to using the
appliance or changing the settings. This pre-
vents unauthorized switching on.
Activating the safety lock
1. Switch on the appliance using the On/Off
sensor (8).
2. Set the cooking zones and, if applicable,
the timer, as desired.
3. Touch the safety lock sensor (9).

All sensors except the On/Off sensor are now
locked. This is indicated by a flashing “
Lo
“
”
next to the timer sensor (7).
When the safety lock is switched on,
all sensors except the On/Off sensor
are deactivated. The appliance can also be
switched off while the safety lock is activat-
ed. You must, however, deactivate the safe-
ty lock before the next use.
Deactivating the safety lock
1. Ensure that the appliance is switched on.
The “
LO
“ ” indicator next to the timer sen-
sor (7) will flash.
2. Touch the safety lock sensor (9) for three
seconds.
The “
LO
“ ” sensor will go out and the “
--
” in-
dicator will appear beside the timer sensor.
Now you will be able to use all of the appli-
ance’s sensors again.
