this unit be installed by a licensed, professional
plumber.
• Please read over these instructions thoroughly
before beginning installation. Make sure that
you have all tools and supplies needed to
complete the installation.
• This showerpipe requires showerpipe rough
16181181(not included).
• Do not install this showerpipe in a steam shower.
• Make sure that the wall is strong enough to
support the showerpipe. The wall must be
reinforced at the mounting points. The area
where the top mounting piece is to be installed
must be flat and free of protruding grout joints,
etc.
• The enclosed screws and anchors are suitable for
a solid surface wall. For other wall constructions,
select mounting hardware and reinforcement
suitable for that specific construction.
• This showerpipe is for use with shower heads
rated at 1.5 GPM (5.7 l/min) or higher.
• Protection against backflow is provided by
check valves.
• To prevent scald injury, the maximum output
temperature of the shower valve must be no
higher than 120°F (49°C). In Massachusetts,
the maximum output temperature can be no
higher than 112°F (44°C).
• Keep this booklet and the receipt (or other proof

be necessary to request warranty parts.
Product Safety Notes
• The purpose of the shower arm is to support the
showerhead only. Do not use it to support other

• Do not use the showerpipe as a grab bar. Using
the showerpipe as a grab bar may result in injury
or product damage. If a grab bar is required,
purchase and install one separately.
