Malfunctions
The device alerts users about a malfunction using visual and acoustic signals (e.g.
alarm). The malfunction can also be viewed in the hansgrohe home app and via
push notification on your smartphone.

Leakage suspected, water volume
- The maximum permitted water volume has been
exceeded. Volume leakage may have occurred.
- Please fix the leakage or adjust the limit value.
Acknowledge the error and open the stop valve.
Leakage suspected, duration of water withdrawal
- The maximum permitted time has been exceeded.
Time leakage may have occurred.
- Please fix the leakage or adjust the limit value.
Acknowledge the error and open the stop valve.
Leakage suspected, water flow
- The maximum permitted flow has been exceeded.
Flow leakage may have occurred or a water pipe
may have burst.
- Please fix the leakage or adjust the limit value.
Acknowledge the error and open the stop valve.
Leakage suspected, micro-leakage
- The maximum permitted micro-leakage volume has
been exceeded. There may be a micro-leakage, e.g.
in the WC flush.
- Please fix the leakage. Acknowledge the error and
open the stop valve.
Leakage suspected, Pontos Scout
- A connected Pontos Scout is reporting a leakage.
- Please check around the Scout and fix the leakage.
Acknowledge the error and open the stop valve.
Malfunction, stop valve
- The stop valve cannot be activated. This may be
caused by dirt in the stop valve or a fault in the motor
or position sensor. Caution: limited leakage protec-
tion!
- Please check functionality by manually activating the
stop valve.
- Please check the electric cables and connectors.
Notify the Hansgrohe Service department if
necessary.
Malfunction, flow sensor
- No signals from the turbine have been recorded over
a long period of time. This may be caused by dirt or
a fault in the turbine or a faulty sensor. Caution:
limited leakage protection!
- Open a water tapping point and check whether
turbine signals are displayed on the controls (LED).
Notify the Hansgrohe Service department if
necessary.
Malfunction, pressure sensor
- The pressure sensor is not reporting any information.
- Please check the electric cables and connectors.
Notify the Hansgrohe Service department if
necessary.
Malfunction, temperature sensor
- The temperature sensor is not reporting any informa-
tion.
- Please check the electric cables and connectors.
Notify the Hansgrohe Service department if
necessary.
Malfunction, conductivity sensor
- The conductivity sensor is not reporting any informa-
tion.
- Please check the electric cables and connectors.
Notify the Hansgrohe Service department if
necessary.
Note, battery missing
- The battery is missing or flat.
- Please replace the battery.
Note, power supply missing
- The mains adapter is not plugged in or is not supplied
with power. The device is in battery mode.
- Please check the mains adapter and the power
supply.
Note, Wi-Fi not working
- There is no connection to the network.
- Please establish a connection to the network.
- If there is a weak Wi-Fi signal, you may need to use a
Wi-Fi booster / repeater.
Flow rate is very low
- The device has been installed against the flow.
- Please take note of the flow direction and install the
device correctly.
