• Press and hold
READ/ /TIMER
for three
seconds. The display will show the
countdown prior to measurement. The
beeper is playing a beep at the end of
countdown period.
Alternatively, wait for 2 minutes and just
press
READ/ /TIMER
.
• Press
ZERO/CFM
and the lamp, cuvet
and detector icons will appear on the
display, depending on the measurement
phase.
• After a few seconds, the display will show
“-0.0-”
. The meter is now zeroed and
ready for measurement.
• Remove the blank from the instrument.
• Remove the cap from the cuvet and discard
the blank.
• Rinse the cuvet a couple of times with
the unreacted sample and discard it.
Turn upside down the empty cuvet and
shake it to remove excess of liquid.
• Fill the same cuvet with 10 mL of
unreacted sample.
For most accurate results, use of another
clean class A laboratory pipette is strongly
recommended.
Alternatively, fill the cuvet up to the 10
mL mark.
• Add 2 mL of
HI 93729-0
Fluoride Reagent
to the cuvet by use of the 2000
μ
L
automatic pipette.
