Leave the vials in the tube rack to cool to room temperature. Do not
shake or invert them anymore otherwise the samples may become
turbid.
•
Select the program number corresponding to Oxygen Demand,
Chemical (COD) - HR on the secondary LCD by pressing PROGRAM
W
and
V
.
•
Place carefully the COD-vial
adapter in the instrument and
check that it fits properly.
•
Place the blank into the holder.
•
Press ZERO and “SIP” will blink on the display.
•
Wait for a few seconds and the
display will show “-0.0-”. Now
the meter is zeroed and ready
for measurement.
•
Remove the blank.
•
Place the sample into the holder.
•
Press READ and “SIP” will blink during measurement.
•
Multiply the reading on the Liquid Crystal Display by 10 to
abtain the concentration in mg/L of oxygen demand.
INTERFERENCES:
