IMAGETEAM™ 2020/5620 System Manual

Replacing the IT2020 Interface Cable:

1. Turn the power to the host system 

OFF.

2. Disconnect the base’s cable from the 

terminal or computer.

3. Turn the base upside down.

4. Pull the connector out while 

maintaining pressure on the connector 
release clip.

5. Replace with the new cable.  

Insert the connector into the opening 
and press firmly.  The connector is 
keyed to go in only one way, and will 
click into place.

Changing the IT5620 
Battery:

1. Remove the screw on the end 

cap.

2. Remove the battery from the 

handle.

3. Insert battery.

4. Replace end cap and screw.

Troubleshooting Base

If your base is not functioning 
properly, review the following 
troubleshooting guidelines to try to isolate the problem.

Is the red LED on? 

If the red LED isn’t illuminated, check that:

The power cable is connected properly and there is power at the power 
source.

The host system power is on (if external power isn’t used).

Is the green LED on? 

If the 

green LED isn’t illuminated, check that:

The scanner is correctly placed in the base.
