Slide the bracket assemblies to the inside edges of the truck walls and position the bracket stops
against the bracket assemblies� Tighten hardware on the bracket stops�

Adjust the rear brackets until they are snug against the tailgate, then tighten the hardware�

Lower the tailgate, then feed the rear bracket straps through the gap between the tailgate and the
truck bed, then up the tailgate to the L bracket buckles� Feed the straps through the buckles and
tighten the slack by pulling the straps�

Insert the crank handle into the crank slot� If needed, loosen the bracket stops and reposition the
roller bar to the left to make sure the crank handle will clear the pickup truck� Tighten the bracket
stops�
15�
Remove the crank handle and store it inside the pickup truck�
16�
Close the tailgate, then place the bumper hook under the bottom of the bumper� Tighten the slack
by pulling the bumper strap�

Secure the roller bar before driving the pickup
truck� If the roller bar is not secured, it can cause the cargo
tarp to billow during driving, causing a traffic hazard�
NoTE!
• Check local traffic regulations before driving the pickup
truck with the cargo tarp fitted�
• Do not pull the cargo tarp out beyond the ’Stop’ labels�
Leave at least three wraps on the roller bar at all times�
• The cargo tarp is intended for use with a truck bed with
a friction-free surface�
• Heavier loads may be difficult to unload in conditions
such as the following:
– The bed has a sprayed-in bedliner
– A no-slip bedliner has been fitted
– A rubber mat has been fitted
– There is rust or debris on the bed
• Before using the cargo tarp, remove rubber mats and no-slip bedliners, along with any dirt and debris
that may cause friction, or tear the cargo tarp� Install a liner or other smooth surface if necessary�

Before each use, clean the truck bed and the cargo tarp� Dirt and debris can damage the cargo
tarp� Spray silicone lubricant (not included) around the L brackets and the crank slot�

Make sure the tailgate is closed and latched�

Do not exceed the nominal weight capacity of the cargo tarp�
