INITIAL OPERATION AND USE AFTER AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME
INITIAL OPERATION AND USE AFTER AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME
□
When first powering on the pump, air needs to evacuate from the water lines. The result will be intermittent water spitting
until all air bubbles are removed. This is normal.
□
When turning on the mist system after a period of non-use, there may be a brief plastic smell to the water from the lines.
Keeping water lines out of direct sunlight helps to prevent this.
□
When turning on the mist system after a period of non-use, the mist may be hot. Keeping water lines out of direct sunlight
helps to minimize this and the mist will cool down as fresh water enters the system.
RESERVOIR DRAWN OPERATION
RESERVOIR DRAWN OPERATION
□
If connecting to a hose spigot or plumbed water supply is not an option, it is possible to use a water reservoir (not included).
□
The reservoir needs to be clean, free from debris, and preferably have a lid that prevents air born contaminants from
entering. The reservoir also must be emptied after each use to prevent stale water and/or algae from entering the mist
system.
□
If using a reservoir, an in-line filter (not included) must also be used. Any in-line filter with 1/4 in. PTC (push-to-connect) or
compression fittings will work and can be placed directly in the reservoir.
MIST FEATURE SHUT OFF
MIST FEATURE SHUT OFF
□
When the mist system is turned off, pressure in the lines drops until the nozzle valves close. The result of this is a brief
stream of water (non-mist) coming from the nozzles. This is normal to operation and there may be a few drips of water that
accumulate on the nozzles as a result.
