Pull Back Rods .
Burst Pipe - 67
1. Place at least one operator/pipe loader in the bursting pit. Keep this person at rear of unit in operating
area (page 9).
2. Start power unit engine. Set engine to high throttle.
3. Turn mode selector switch on wireless remote controller to pullback mode.
4. Lock bungee. See “Close Bungee” on page 61.
5. Open clamp.
6. Pull rod into bursting unit until first joint is
visible in window (shown).
7. Close clamp.
8. Move carriage back until rod lines up with
end of skis (shown).
9. To disconnect rods rotate spinner control
counterclockwise.
10. Remove rod.
11. Open clamp.
12. Move carriage to front of machine.
13. Close clamp.
14. Move carriage to back of machine.
15. Open clamp.
16. Move carriage to front of machine.
17. Repeat steps 7-16 to complete job.
NOTICE: To shut down power unit when using remote controller, press the remote stop switch
on remote controller. If not using remote controller, turn engine off at the power unit.
NOTICE: After first rod has been
removed, carriage can be moved back
while spinner is rotated to disconnect
rods.
