The rotation motors of the HAMMER ROTARY CRUSHER Series FR models, from 21 on, are usually
equipped (subject to customer confirmation) with a gearbox to adjust the rotation speed with respect to the
overall dimensions of the equipment, optimizing its positioning during the work.
For these models, HAMMER provides the basic information regarding the maintenance and first start-up of
the aforementioned transmission components.
At the time of the first start-up, it is advisable to carry out an adequate running-in of the gearbox, gradually
increasing the power of use of the equipment in the first hours of operation.
Regarding lubrication, it is advisable to carry out a first oil change after 100 hours of operation. For the
following ones, consider about 2000 hours of use or at least once a year.
Check the oil level every 100 working hours, and periodically check, during normal operation, that there are
no leaks. If the oil falls below the minimum level, top up with the same oil previously used.
If the oil topping exceeds 10% of the lubricant volume, check for any leaks.
CAUTION: Avoid mixing oils with different characteristics (for example, mineral with synthetic).
