Receiving and Unpacking Commander
Commander is shipped in a cardboard box that is strapped to a pallet/skid. This box contains the pay station
only - bases (if ordered) will be in separate boxes.
Once all straps and/or shrink wrap has been removed from the skid, carefully lay the box on its side and
cut through the packing tape on the base of the box. Fold out or remove the flaps, and then return the box
to its normal upright position.
Slide the box off, and remove the foam packing material. Remove the shrink wrap around Commander, and
locate the ‘T’ handle (this will be used to open the door). Finally, remove the clear bag covering Commander.
Use the ‘T’ handle to open the Commander door by inserting it into each lock cylinder and turning counter-
clockwise.
Save your keys
With the door open, remove the keys and lock inserts from the cushioned envelope bag, located next to the
power supply. MAKE A PERMANENT RECORD OF THE NUMBERS ON THESE KEYS IN CASE ONE IS LOST
AND NEEDS TO BE REORDERED (see page 5).
Remove the packing strap from the hopper
The hopper is shipped with a small piece of strapping tape holding the baffle down to minimize the vibrations
caused by shipping. Remove this tape as well as the protective plastic on the edges of the hopper.
Remove the receipt paper
A roll of receipt paper is shipped in the coin/token box. Remove this for installation later.
Remove all packing debris from the hopper
During unpacking, ensure that debris does not fall into the hopper bowl. If this material is not removed, the
hopper could jam. With the power completely disconnected, remove any loose material inside the hopper bowl.
