Troubleshooting

PROBABLE CAUSE/SOLUTION
Grill won’t turn on.
• Is grill plugged in? ON indicator light will come on.
• Make sure electrical outlet is working. Test with a lamp known to be working.
• Power surge or outage. Check your electrical breaker box.
Food is undercooked.
• Plates are not locked in place. Check top and bottom plates and press into place.
• Food not cooked long enough. When grilling meats, use a meat thermometer to measure
internal temperature. Visit

temperatures and temperatures for doneness of specific foods.
• Not set at the correct cooking temperature. Check the temperature control dial.
• Cook with cover closed.
• Allow grill to fully preheat.
Food is overcooked.
• Food cooked too long. When grilling meats, use a meat thermometer to measure internal
temperature.
Grease is not draining.
• Kickstand is not in place.
• Drain hole is blocked/clogged. Cool grill completely and clean around the drain hole.
