5.5. Language Setting
Note – Standard language
the standard language ex works is English.
All of the menu structures referred to in these
operating instructions relate to this standard setting.
note that the menu names displayed will differ if you
select a different language.

5.6. Factory Settings
•
turn and press [EntEr]/[nAVIgAtE] (8)
Factory Reset
and then select
YES
to reset the radio to its factory
settings.
Warning
restoring the radio’s factory settings will delete all the
time and date settings, alarms, etc. you have saved!
5.7 Software-Upgrade / USB
Software upgrades for the radio for troubleshooting and/or
provision of additional features are available for download
at www.hama.com. Information and instructions on how to
perform the upgrades is also provided here.
upgrades are performed via a uSB connection to a
computer and the [uPdAtE POrt] (16) on the rear of the
radio.
•
Additionally turn and press [EntEr]/[nAVIgAtE] (8)
Software Upgrade
and then select
YES
to upgrade
the radio’s software when it has been connected to a
computer.
•
turn and press [EntEr]/[nAVIgAtE] (8) to select
SW
version
to view the radio’s current software version.
Note – USB connection
the uSB connection of the [uPdAtE POrt] (16) is only
intended for performing upgrades. do not connect any
storage media, uSB devices, etc. to this connection.
6. Alarm function
the radio allows you to set two different alarm times.
•
Press [AlArM] (6) repeatedly until
Alarm 1 Setup
or
Alarm 2 Setup
is displayed.
•
Press [EntEr]/[nAVIgAtE] (8) to access the settings for
each corresponding alarm function.
turn [EntEr]/[nAVIgAtE] (8) to make the following
settings one after the other and confirm each selection by
pressing [EntEr]/[nAVIgAtE] (8).
•
Alarm function: On/ Off
•
Alarm time
•
Alarm duration: 15/ 30/ 45/ 60/ 90 minutes
•
Alarm type: Buzzer/ dAB/ fM
- for dAB/fM: station listened to last or favourite (1-10)
•
repeat: Once, weekend (Sat+Sun), week days (Mon-fri),
daily
- for once-only alarm: date
•
the activated alarm function is indicated by a
corresponding symbol

Press [AlArM] (6) repeatedly until
Alarm 1 Setup

Alarm 2 Setup
is displayed.
•
turn and press [EntEr]/[nAVIgAtE] (8) to activate/
deactivate the alarm function.
•
Press [ ] / [VOluME] (1) to switch off the alarm signal/
the set radio station you use for your alarm signal.
•
Press [SnOOZE] (9) once or twice if you want to interrupt
an alarm function, but you do not want to switch it off
completely. the alarm function will be triggered again
after 5 or 10 minutes and
SNOOZE
and the remaining
time will be displayed.
Note
the snooze function only affects the currently active
alarm function. you will have to activate the snooze
function separately if you have programmed a second
alarm that has been set to trigger during the snooze
time.
