Installation Instructions for ILAS-III Manual Override (cont’d)
These steps are to be used to install a manual ovverride to lower lift axles. This function is used when
servicing an unladen vehicle equipped with the Haldex ILAS-III Valve.
ILAS-III Port Callouts
ILAS-III Requirements
1. PPV with screen required (Haldex #90554107 or equivalent).
2. Ports on ILAS valve must point down
3. ILAS valve to be enclosed in a protective box.
4. Allow sufficient room to insert adjustment tool (stand-offs may be required on valve).
5. Follow axle manufactures ride height setting for all axles on the vehicle.
6. Lift and drop pressures (Ps1 and Ps2) must be determined by the trailer manufacture or end user.
7. Reference axle manufactures load plate data for load vs. air bag. Follow regional legal requirements
when required.
8. Adjust lift and drop pressures to fall within the pressure chart See Figure 5.
Pressure Protection Valve (PPV) Premium
1. PPV with screen required (Haldex #90554107 or equivalent).
2. Protects the air brake system in the event of a leak or failure
within the air suspension system.
3. Serviceable replacement filter minimizes contaminates and
other debris from entering other air system accessories.
4. All Ports 1/4” NPT.
5. Closing Pressure 70 PSIG.
6. Opening Pressure 75 PSIG minimum.
7. Replacement Filter Kit: 48100200.
Manually Operated Valve
1. Manually Operated Valve required (Haldex #90054088
or equivalent).
2. Self-relieving manual switch supplies pilot pressure to pilot
valves used in the override system.
3. All Ports 1/8” NPT.
4. Mounting Bracket 90018410.

Mounting Bracket
Three-Way Pilot Valve (Haldex #90554615)
1. Used on auxiliary axle applications or to rapidly exhaust
air suspensions.
2. Can be operated using a manual switch (Haldex #90054088).
3. Activated by applying pilot pressure.
4. When connected to the gladhand or parking brake line,
this valve automatically exhausts the air suspension.
