6. Machine settings
6.1.2 Battery and charger settings
In order to achieve optimum service life and performance of the batteries available for
the machine, it is necessary to set the battery monitor, called LDS, and the charger to
the correct battery type and capacity.
These settings are carried out in the menu items 0.3.X; 0.4.X and 0.5.X.
If the setting for a machine without charger (0.4.0), with charger and without
communication (0.4.1) or for a charger with communication and free characteristic
curve selection (0.4.2) is carried out in 0.4.x, the LDS must also be set correctly in
0.3.X.
With the charger settings 0.4.4; 0.4.6 and 0.4.7, the LDS setting takes place
automatically via the battery selection in 0.5.X.
In this case chapter 0.3.X is not displayed in the configuration menu.
