PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
In addition to the above inspection procedure, a preventive maintenance program should be established to
prolong the useful life of the hoist and maintain its reliability and continued safe use. The program should
include the periodic and frequent inspections with particular attention being paid to the lubrication of the various
components using the recommended lubricants.

External evidence of worn, corroded, cracked or
distorted hook block, suspension screws, gears,
bearings, chain stop and chain guide.

External evidence of damage to hook retaining nut
and pin. Also check the upper suspension adapter
making sure it is fully seated in the hoist frame and
that both screws are tight.
