9.2. Use of touch buttons
The entry of settings and operation are performed using three capacitive but -
tons with proximity sensors (Left, Mode, Right) added active LED illumination.
„Buttons” are illuminated only when they are active in the given situation . There
are two ways to press a button: short press and holding. The installed acoustic
signaller returns a short sound, when „buttons” are touched. If you lift your fin -
ger immediately, this is considered as a short press on the „button” activating the
associated function. If you hold your finger on the „button” for app. two seconds,
a second sound will be returned indicating that you have securely activated the
function associated with the long press on the „button”.
If there is no such function in the given situation, nothing will happen upon release
of the button. In certain cases, no function is associated with a short press on a
button (e.g. on the middle button sometimes).
9.3. Start of changes
If the display shows some data, and the middle button
is active, you can modify the given data . To do so, touch
and hold the middle button . To avoid accidental changes,
this will activate the „child lock” function .
The display shows four lower segments, the places for characters to be entered
only. You can change the flashing value using the left and right arrows.
If a screen allows changing more than one values (month/day, hour/minute
etc.), you can select the value you wish to change by pressing the middle button.
Values changed take effect immediately (e.g. if you set the desired temperature
higher than the measured one, heating will be activated immediately).
You can leave the change mode by pressing and holding the middle button. Upon
expiry of one minute from the last press on a button, the change mode ends and
the default values appear on the display.
9.4. Releasing the child lock
In the place of the flashing bottom segment, you can
change digits by touching the left or right arrow, and you
can jump from the active (flashing) digit to the next one
by shortly pressing the middle button.
You can release the child lock by entering the digits ’1234’ on the display and
pressing and holding the middle button. The child lock stays released for one mi -
nute from the last pressing on a button; therefore you have to release it once
only, if you want to change multiple parameters. After expiry of one minute, the
default values appear on the display.
9.5. Seven segment display screen
Measured and preset values are displayed on a 4 digit, seven segment clock
screen. The formats of data displayed are distinguished using decimal points, the
colon and the degree symbol. You can navigate between the data displayed using
