2.1 Description
The following characteristics are common to all the versions of the Sentinel electronic trip
units:

Rated current value In of the air circuit
breaker. This value is provided by the
Rating Plug installed in the electronic trip
unit.

USB-C port to connect a battery.
The Sentinel electronic trip unit is self-
powered when the circuit breaker is in
service except when:
- if the circuit breaker is open or de-
energised after tripping,
- if the withdrawable circuit breaker is in
test or disconnected position.
In these cases, you are advised to
connect an external battery to this USB-C
port or an external 24 V DC power supply
(Hager HTG911H) to the TU 24 V +/-
terminals of the terminal block in order to
view the settings through the display.
This USB-C port also allows connection
to a computer equipped with the
Hager
Power Setup
commissioning software
(see chapter 4.1 Principle)

Backup battery powering the display after
electrical tripping.
It ensures that the alarm signals on the
display providing information of the cause
of the tripping are maintained.
