Flow7
7” In-Wall PoE Android
Touch Screen
Installation Guide
Introduction
Flow7 is a High Resolution in-wall Android touch panel designed for use with any control
system that has an Android application. It has an integrated safety power/charging system
which is powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE AF) using a single CAT5/6 cable and a
compatible IEEE 802.3af Class 3 PoE switch or injector.
Flow7 can be easily installed in both new and retrofit situations. The compact charging
system fits in a wall box as small as a 25mm deep UK single, while the adjustable
mounting plate can be adjusted horizontally to avoid obstructions (door frames, switches).
Installation can be either horizontal or vertical in a UK Single or Double or US Double-J wall
box. The mounting plate has screw holes to increase rigidity on uneven walls with smaller
installation boxes.
Preparation
Retrofit: remove existing keypad or touch screen and ensure wall box is clear of debris.
Make sure CAT cable is terminated correctly with an RJ45 plug wired to T-568-B at both
ends and use a suitable CAT tester to test the cable and termination integrity.
New installation: (ideally) install a 35mm deep UK double electrical wall box to allow the
most rigid and easy installation. Make sure the wall box is clear of debris and any
decorative work around the box is set and dry. Run a CAT5e cable from the central
equipment location and terminate both ends of the cable with an RJ45 plug wired to T-
568-B at both ends and use a suitable CAT tester to test the cable and termination
integrity.
Installation of Mounting plate and Power System
1. Remove Flow7 from the packaging and remove the mounting plate retaining set screw
using a suitable AF1.5 driver
